This Privacy Policy explains how Noorie Labs LLC (“Noorie Labs”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information about you when you use our mobile applications, our website at noorielabs.com, and any related services that link to this policy (together, the “Services”).

We build software for humans, and we try to collect only what we need to make our products work well. If a specific app handles data in a way not described here, it will tell you in the app or in a supplemental notice.

By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the Services.

Information we collect

Information you provide to us

  • Account information. If you create an account, we collect information such as your name and email address. If you sign in with a third-party provider such as Sign in with Apple or Google, we receive the information that provider shares with us, which may include your name, email address, or a private relay email address.
  • Content you create. If an app lets you create, save, or sync content (such as notes, lists, settings, or other entries), we store that content so we can provide the feature to you, including syncing it across your devices.
  • Communications. If you contact us for support or send us feedback, we collect your email address, the contents of your message, and any information you choose to include, such as screenshots or device details.

Information collected automatically

  • Diagnostics and crash data. When an app crashes or encounters an error, we may collect technical information about the problem, such as crash logs, stack traces, and performance data.
  • Usage data. We may collect information about how you interact with the Services, such as features used, screens viewed, and session length. We use this in a pseudonymous or aggregated form to understand how our products are used and to improve them.
  • Device information. We may collect information such as your device model, operating system version, app version, language, region settings, and a randomly generated app or device identifier.
  • Log data. Like most online services, our servers and hosting providers automatically record information such as your IP address, browser type, and the date and time of your request. An IP address may be used to infer your approximate location, such as your country.

Information from third parties

  • App stores. When you make a purchase or start a subscription, Apple (the App Store) or Google (Google Play) processes the payment. We receive information needed to confirm and manage your purchase, such as a transaction identifier, product purchased, subscription status, and region. We never receive or store your payment card details.
  • Sign-in providers. If you choose to sign in with a third-party account, we receive information from that provider as described above.

Device permissions

Some features may ask for permission to access information on your device, such as photos, the camera, notifications, or health data. We only request these permissions when a feature needs them, the app will explain why, and you can change your choice at any time in your device settings. Unless an app clearly tells you otherwise, data accessed through these permissions stays on your device.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Services, including creating and managing your account and syncing your content across devices.
  • Process and verify purchases and subscriptions, and restore purchases on new devices.
  • Respond to your questions, support requests, and feedback.
  • Diagnose crashes, fix bugs, and improve the performance and reliability of the Services.
  • Understand how the Services are used so we can improve existing features and develop new ones.
  • Send you service-related messages, such as security alerts, account notices, and changes to our terms or policies.
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, and other harmful activity.
  • Comply with our legal obligations and enforce our Terms and Conditions.

We do not use your information to build advertising profiles, and we do not use the content you create for any purpose other than providing the Services to you.

Legal bases for processing

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we process your personal information only when we have a legal basis to do so:

  • Performance of a contract, when we need the information to provide the Services you have requested, such as your account, synced content, and purchases.
  • Legitimate interests, such as keeping the Services secure, understanding usage, and fixing and improving our products, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.
  • Consent, where we ask for it, such as for certain device permissions. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
  • Legal obligation, where we must process information to comply with the law.

How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers. We use trusted third parties to help us run the Services, such as cloud hosting and storage, databases, authentication, analytics, crash reporting, email delivery, and customer support tools. These providers may access your information only to perform services on our behalf and are required to protect it.
  • App stores and payment processors. Apple and Google process payments for purchases made in our apps under their own privacy policies.
  • Legal requirements. We may disclose information if we believe in good faith that doing so is required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Noorie Labs, our users, or others.
  • Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of all or part of our assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will continue to protect it as described in this policy, or notify you of any changes.
  • With your consent. We may share information for other purposes with your permission, such as when you choose to share content with other people or apps.

We may also share aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you.

Tracking, cookies, and analytics

We do not track you across apps and websites owned by other companies, and we do not display third-party advertising in our apps.

Our website does not use advertising cookies. We may use privacy-focused analytics that do not rely on cross-site tracking. Our apps may use analytics and crash reporting tools that collect the diagnostics, usage, and device information described above. Where an app offers a setting to turn off analytics, you can use it at any time.

Data retention

We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy. In general:

  • Account information and synced content is kept while your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize this information within a reasonable period, typically within 30 days, except where we must keep it longer for legal reasons.
  • Support communications are kept for as long as needed to resolve your request and maintain a record of our support history.
  • Diagnostics, usage, and log data is kept for a limited period and then deleted or aggregated.
  • Purchase records may be kept as long as required for tax, accounting, and legal purposes.

Backups may keep deleted information for a limited additional period before being overwritten.

How we protect your information

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and working with reputable service providers. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your device and account credentials secure.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access: ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correction: ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Deletion: ask us to delete your personal information.
  • Portability: ask for your information in a portable, machine-readable format.
  • Objection and restriction: object to or ask us to limit certain processing.
  • Withdraw consent: where we rely on consent, withdraw it at any time.

You also have these choices:

  • Delete your account. Apps that support accounts let you delete your account from within the app. You can also email us to request deletion.
  • Device permissions. You can turn access to photos, notifications, and other permissions on or off in your device settings.
  • Emails. You can unsubscribe from non-essential emails using the link in the message. We may still send you important service messages.
  • Subscriptions. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID or Google Play account settings.

To exercise your rights, contact us at support@noorielabs.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing your request, and we will respond within the time required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your rights.

US state privacy rights

Residents of California and certain other US states, including Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, and Oregon, have rights under state privacy laws. This section supplements the rest of this policy for those residents.

Categories of information. In the past 12 months, we may have collected the following categories of personal information, from the sources and for the purposes described above: identifiers (such as name, email address, and app or device identifiers); commercial information (such as purchase and subscription status); internet or other electronic network activity (such as usage, diagnostics, and log data); general geolocation (such as country, inferred from IP address); and any other information you choose to provide, such as content you create or support messages.

Disclosures. We disclose these categories only to the service providers and other recipients described in “How we share your information,” for the business purposes described in this policy.

No sale or sharing. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under applicable law, and we have not done so in the past 12 months. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16.

Sensitive information. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes other than those permitted by law, such as providing the Services you request.

Your rights. Subject to certain exceptions, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose; to access, correct, and delete it; to opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, and certain profiling (which we do not do); and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf, and we may ask for proof of the agent’s authority. If we deny your request, you may have the right to appeal by replying to our decision.

To submit a request, email support@noorielabs.com.

International data transfers

Noorie Labs is based in the United States, and we and our service providers may process and store your information in the United States and other countries. These countries may have data protection laws different from those where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers, such as the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.

If you are in the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Children’s privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 where a higher age applies, such as in parts of the EEA). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Third-party links and services

The Services may contain links to, or integrations with, websites and services operated by third parties, such as Apple, Google, or sign-in providers. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties, and we encourage you to read their privacy policies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the bottom of this page. If we make material changes, we will notify you by reasonable means, such as a notice in the app, on our website, or by email, before the changes take effect.
